To our clients,
After many months of careful preparation, I am writing to let you know that our firm now operates under a new name: Enclave Private Wealth Inc.
Before anything else, one reassurance: unlike the transition you navigated with us not long ago, this change requires nothing of you. No signatures, no new platforms, no account migrations. Your portfolio and your access to it continue exactly as they are.
The name is new. The people who serve you, the principles that guide our work, and the relationships we have built with you over many years are not. For most of you, this is another chapter in a long story — one that has carried us across more than one institution along the way. Each of those prior arrangements served a purpose at the time. None, in the end, offered the structure the work now requires.
Enclave is that structure.
Why we have done this
Three considerations shaped the decision.
The first is independence, in its fullest sense. Enclave is wholly independent, and we carry no institutional mandate — explicit or implicit — to direct your capital anywhere in particular. We are compensated in exactly one way: the fees you pay us. That is the entire arrangement, and we intend to remain radically transparent about it. Advice given under any other structure is, in our view, compromised in ways that matter. We were no longer willing to work within those compromises on your behalf.
The second is capability. Enclave now holds a Portfolio Management license. In plain terms, this allows us to double down on the approach we have always believed in: the barbell. Absolute preservation on one end, and asymmetric upside on the other — with the proportion always personal to you. What the new registration adds is reach at both ends of that barbell. On the preservation side, a wider set of structures for protecting capital and generating durable yield. On the growth side, direct access to private and pre-IPO opportunities that previously sat outside what we could offer. Nothing about the philosophy changes. What changes is the range of what we can execute on your behalf.
The third is the work itself. Building Enclave has allowed us to invest deliberately in the infrastructure behind the advice — the responsiveness and cadence of how we communicate with you, the service standards we hold ourselves to, and the foundation for meaningful technology investment in the years ahead. None of this is the headline. It is, however, the quiet architecture that makes everything else possible, and holding ourselves to a higher standard of it is part of what this firm is for.
What this means for you
As noted above, nothing about this change requires action from you. Your portfolio, your point of contact, and the standard of care you have come to expect all continue uninterrupted. Any administrative details that arise — correspondence under the Enclave name, updated documentation where needed — we will handle ourselves.
What changes, over time, is the architecture behind the advice. Enclave is built to support fully discretionary portfolio management, bespoke strategies across public and private markets, and a closer alignment between the counsel we provide and the interests of the clients who receive it. That alignment is the entire point of this firm.
A personal note
The relationships this firm is built on were not built quickly, and they were not built on marketing. They were built on doing the work carefully, over long periods, for a small group of people whose trust was earned rather than assumed. Enclave is the name I have chosen to carry that forward, under a structure that finally matches the standard.
I am grateful — genuinely grateful — for the confidence you have placed in me across every chapter of this journey. I look forward to speaking with each of you directly in the weeks ahead, and to the work still in front of us.
With appreciation,
Mark McCooeye
